Ashleigh Piini, MSW, ASW Intern
Ashleigh is a Clinical Social Work Intern. She was born and raised in Arizona, but moved to Salinas Valley with her husband in 2010. Ashleigh began working at the Personal Growth and Counseling Center at CSUMB in the fall of 2011. Ashleigh enjoys working with students to help them identify their strengths and empower them to utilize these strengths to meet their individual goals. Ashleigh currently provides individual counseling and group counseling at the PGCC. She is a strong advocate for helping students to improve their communication and problem solving skills.
Ashleigh has worked in a variety of settings with children, adolescents, adults and families. She has experience working with clients dealing with various issues including past trauma, domestic violence, substance abuse, and foster care.
Ashleigh has also worked with students in school districts in both Arizona and Monterey County. She has provided both individual and group counseling to help students address behavioral, emotional and academic needs.
Ashleigh attended Arizona State University for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She received her B.A. in Psychology in 2004 and her M.S.W in 2008. Ashleigh is currently completing her hours to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
