Ignacio Pacheco, MSW, ASW Intern
Ignacio is a Clinical Social Work Intern and loves being a social worker! Originally from the San Francisco Bay Peninsula, Ignacio has been living in Monterey County since 2001. Ignacio works individually with clients at the PGCC and co-facilitates Out of the Blues on Thursdays.
Ignacio started off his social work career in Detroit, MI as a union organizer. Since then, he has worked in a variety of settings to help empower those in probation, relative-caregiving, domestic violence, and homeless situations at different community agencies in Monterey County.
Ignacio loves technology as an empowerment tool, and likes to be creative. He is also the social media and tech person at the counseling center, helping the PGCC connect with students.
Ignacio is a proud Otter, receiving his B.A. in Collaborative Health and Human Services at CSUMB in 2007. He received his MSW from San José State in 2009 (emphasizing in Health and Mental Health) and is now completing his training to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
