Monday, October 7th
Green Tea & Ribbons
When: 11 AM – 1 PM
Where: In front of the Library
Details: Enjoy a free Green Tea Lemonade with the POWER Peer Educators and support the Each Mind Matters campaign by wearing a green ribbon. Learn more about Mental Health Awareness Week events and important information about mental health.
Tuesday, October 8th
Mental Health Screening & Lunch Bag Event
When: 11 AM – 1PM
Where: In front of the student center.
Details: Take part in a free and confidential mental health screening for anxiety and mood disorders. Show support for our candlelight vigil event by decorating a bag with your own personal message.
NAMI Movie Night: “Canvas”: A Joseph Greco Film
Where: Marina Library
Wednesday, October 9th
When: 6 PM – 9 PM
Where: Campus quad grass area.
Details: Give light, hope, and warmth. Come out and light a candle to show your support for mental health & suicide awareness. Join us for this very special event!
Thursday, October 10th
National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI): In Our Own Voice Speakers Panel
When: 6:30 PM – 8:30PM
Where: Student Center West Lounge
Details: NAMI representatives will share their compelling and personal testimonials of living with and overcoming the challenges posed by mental illness. Participate in this event to help banish stereotypes and reclaim the truth of today. By broadening our knowledge of mental illness, we replace misunderstanding, fear and judgment with insight, awareness and acceptance.
